Periodontitis
Receding gums, loose teeth, and pus can be symptoms of periodontitis, a chronic tissue infection that can cause tooth loss. While uncommon in North America, risk factors include family history, stress, smoking, or infection susceptibility. Diagnosis is the first step to treating periodontitis. Next, our team provides cleaning instructions, removes tartar, and may prescribe antibiotics.
-
Baby Teeth (First Visit)
Good dental hygiene starts small! Schedule your child’s first appointment around age two when most primary teeth are in. We understand that your child may feel anxious about visiting the dentist. We are sensitive to their needs, and our friendly, caring team will make the experience positive, comfortable, and fun as they examine and clean your child’s teeth, and share brushing and flossing techniques with you.
-
Rehabilitative Dentistry
When dealing with a number of oral health issues, rehabilitative dentistry is a great option to consider. It addresses missing or misaligned teeth, chewing problems, muscle pain, gum issues, and headaches. Our team will analyze your situation and recommend the best solutions for restoring oral health and chewing function.
-
Sport Mouth Guards
Mouth guards are crucial to minimize injury risks in many sports. Store-bought options, like one-size-fits-all stock guards and “boil and bite” models, may not be suitable for all athletes. Custom-fitted guards are recommended for sports such as boxing, martial arts, hockey, football, and soccer. They perfectly mould to your bite, ensuring no impact on speech or breathing. These guards provide optimal protection, durability, and comfort, and can be adapted for use with orthodontic appliances.
-
Snoring
More than 25% of men and 15% of women consistently snore, while occasional snoring affects 60% of men and 40% of women over 40. Snoring is caused by blocked airflow during sleep, influenced by factors like fatigue, alcohol, sedatives, and excess weight. Additional factors include lower jaw length, a narrow pharynx, large tonsils, or a large tongue. Our team can assess the effectiveness of a mandibular repositioning device, which is worn at night and opens the airway by bringing the tongue and soft palate forward.
-
Clenching & Grinding (Bruxism)
Bruxism is unconscious teeth grinding that’s often linked to anxiety. It can cause various symptoms like headaches, loose teeth, abrasion or fracturing of teeth, and jaw issues. A nighttime mouth guard helps prevent clenching, reduces muscle tension, protects teeth, and aids muscle elasticity. If you suspect bruxism, our team can diagnose and recommend the right treatment for your situation.
-
Bad Breath (Halitosis)
Halitosis, which affects over half the population, usually originates in the mouth. It can be caused by gum disease, defective fillings, reduced saliva, bacteria, oral infection, or tooth decay. Good hygiene can address temporary halitosis, but persistent cases may require our team’s assistance for a lasting solution.
-
Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ)
The temporomandibular joint (TMJ) connects the temporal bone of the skull with the lower jaw. TMJ disorders occur during jaw movement, and symptoms include earache, jaw pain, clicking sounds, or difficulty opening/closing the mouth. Overworked muscles, often from teeth clenching (bruxism) worsened by exhaustion and stress, can contribute to TMJ issues. Simple dental procedures, lifestyle changes, or a mouthguard are usually recommended for relief. Surgery is only required for the most severe cases.
-
Implants
Implants are the go-to choice for replacing one or more missing teeth. They’re not only aesthetically pleasing, durable, and comfortable but also preserve jawbone health. Secured into the jawbone, implants become part of the bone, acting as a stable foundation for crowns, bridges, or dentures. Proper oral care enhances the likelihood of a successful procedure, as implants boast a generally high success rate.
-
Veneers / Cosmetic Dentistry
Veneers enhance a single tooth or your entire smile, and can cover imperfections like stained enamel or gaps. Crafted from porcelain, acrylic, or resin, they come in two types: direct (cured in the mouth) and indirect (temporary veneers for two weeks, which are then replaced by permanent veneers). Indirect veneers are the most permanent option, lasting to 25 years and requiring no special care once applied.
-
Crown & Bridge (CEREC)
Crowns repair teeth damaged by cavities or flawed restorations. Crafted from ceramic porcelain, they cover the entire tooth seamlessly and provide strength and durability. Our two-session process involves preparation, impressions, a temporary crown fitting, and final cementation for a perfect restoration. Alternatively, we offer CEREC, a one-visit procedure with no impressions or waiting. CEREC uses highly durable ceramic that closely matches your natural tooth structure for a seamless, efficient restoration.

Invisalign Orthodontics
Invisalign is a modern alternative to traditional braces, and provides outstanding results without inconvenience or pain. Custom-made for comfort, these clear aligners gradually shift teeth daily, and are easily removable during meals and for brushing. Each tray is worn for about two weeks, and treatment lasts 6–15 months, with check-ins every six weeks. Invisalign is an excellent choice for teens and adults with a variety of orthodontic needs.
-
Teeth Whitening
Tooth discoloration can be caused by various reasons: tobacco, red wine, tea, coffee, age, nerve damage, childhood fluoride exposure, and in-utero exposure to medications. Professional whitening at a dentist’s office efficiently addresses these issues without enamel damage. We use custom-to-you trays to ensure a uniform result in just two quick sessions. If a whiter smile is on your mind, contact us to learn more about this popular service.
-
Restorative Dentistry
Tooth decay is caused by plaque, a clear film of bacteria that forms on teeth every day. The development of tooth decay is strongly related to our eating habits and the overconsumption of sugar. Sugar causes plaque to acidify saliva, which erodes enamel and causes cavities. Initial enamel destruction is painless, and is ideal for treatment. Untreated decay may progress into the tooth’s dentine or pulp and require a filling or root canal. Prevent decay with excellent oral hygiene and regular dental cleanings.
-
Sealants
Dental sealant is a painless and affordable way to prevent cavities. It’s a plastic resin that’s applied to permanent molars to fill deep grooves and shield from debris, acid, plaque, and bacteria. During a checkup, we’ll identify at-risk teeth. Teeth that are good candidates for sealant are cleaned, prepared, and sealed with a curing light. The treatment provides both children and adults with safe and effective cavity protection for several years.

This is the must-go-to dental clinic in Ottawa! I have been a patient at this clinic for over 20 years, and am so happy to have Dr. Mallory join this team! She has been unbelievable in providing me with exceptional care since I have transitioned to her as my dental provider within this office. Personable, honest, kind, and caring! My kids even love their appointments because the staff makes it so enjoyable for them! They always leave with a fun toy prize and with a big smile on their face. The best dentist ever! Where do I begin? From walking in the door to this beautiful, clean office you’re greeted by the staff at the front desk with a smile! Dr. Mallory Laframboise is hands down the best dentist there is. She is the most caring and compassionate dentist that I have ever met. She takes time to make sure everything is done right, and you feel like a new person walking out of the clinic. I have never been so confident with my smile than I was after attending Seller & Laframboise Dentistry!

I’m currently a patient of Seller & Laframboise Dentistry; they are the best dental clinic I’ve ever attended in my whole life (and I’m over 50). If you need freezing, no worries there; you won’t feel a thing!
I have been Dr. Seller’s patient for over 20 years and the entire office treats you as part of their family. The employees remain the same, which tells me they are appreciated. I never have to worry about submitting payments/claims as they take care of the direct billing for me. In regard to his talent as a dentist, Dr. Seller is professional, meticulous, and proud of his work. If you need freezing, no worries there; you won’t feel a thing! Not sure how he does it, but I sure appreciate the comfortable treatments! His assistant, Sarah, is a top-notch hygienist. In fact, they’re so awesome that even my parents became patients there as well! The best of the best and nicest of the nicest are here! Thank you, team Seller and Laframboise!

By far the best dentist office in Ottawa
This is by far the best dentist office in Ottawa and will exceed your expectations! I had been without a dentist for some time and was on the search for a new one. I called to book a cleaning, which they booked me in for quickly. Within 5 seconds, I knew this was my new place! From the cleanliness and family-friendly atmosphere to the beyond-friendly staff, they know how to make you feel more than just comfortable; they know how to make you feel at home! To date, I’ve had multiple cleanings/checkups and services with Isabelle and Dr. Seller (I even had my troublesome wisdom teeth removed), all of which were done so well. The dentist’s office is no longer a bad experience, I actually look forward to it! I highly recommend Seller & Laframboise if you are searching for a new dentist office or even just exploring options.

The warmest people
Seller & Laframboise Dentistry is fantastic. Dr. Brown and her team fixed a broken molar over the busy holiday season. After having been to an emergency clinic and suffering without many options, Dr. Brown was kind, empathetic, knowledgeable, and completed two procedures to get me pain-free and back to normal. For one of the treatments, I was nervous and they provided me with a blanket in the dentist’s chair. The employees at the front desk are kind and go above and beyond. They are the warmest people! Highly recommended.
